27 May UKMFTS 600 Day 4 – Banbury to Bristol
Today’s ride continued the UKMFTS partnering journey South East, through the Cotswolds and into Bristol – the home of 22 Training Group. It was also the first day we were joined by a guest rider – Col Rich Mawer AAC from 22 Training Group. Another hot day saw us wind our way through the beautiful villages of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire with a very welcome stop in Malmesbury to connect with Squadron Leader Mark Renshaw – the brains behind the UKMFTS 600 ride. Descending into Bristol at rush hour cast a stark change of pace, but marked the end of another day in the saddle – today’s ride covering 93 miles, climbing 1.452 over 5 hours 37 minutes. Overall, the team have covered 429 miles, 6,484m over 24 hours and 29 minutes – in just four days!
