TRU Simulation & Training Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company has been awarded a contract to provide maintenance training courseware for the T-6C Texan II aircraft for Affinity Flying Training Services, the company said.

Affinity is the fixed wing Aircraft Service Provider (ASP) under the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS) programme, which will provide flying training for military aircrews from the UK´s Armed Forces.

The T-6C Texan II aircraft is made by Beechcraft Defense Company, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation. The project is expected to be complete by December 2016. The courseware will train technicians and engineers from Affinity– a joint venture between KBR and Elbit Systems. Upon completion, the courseware will meet EASA regulatory standards.

TRU Simulation + Training is an American manufacturer of flight simulators and training solutions for civil and military markets.
