Our Capabilities

Innovation in action

At Affinity, our capabilities are built around what matters most to you - safe, reliable, and mission-ready aircraft. From airworthiness and maintenance to regulatory compliance and aircraft management, we deliver aviation services that meet the highest standards. Because your success deserves a trusted aviation partner.

Our Leaflet B-40 capabilities

As a forward-thinking aviation company, Affinity operates all 42 aircraft under the joint oversight of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Military Aviation Authority (MAA), following the standards set out in CAP562 Leaflet B-40.

This policy framework enables civil-type military aircraft, complete with full Type Certificates and civilian support structures, to deliver military flying operations within a civil regulatory model. In other words, we harness the strengths of civilian aircraft solutions while meeting the exacting demands of military use.

What does that mean for you?

It means every aircraft we manage is supported by a full suite of civil approvals to support the aircraft type when operating within the framework of Leaflet B-40. The military retains operational control under its own Release to Service (RTS), built upon the foundation of the civilian operational data.

Where specialist military needs arise, such as mission-specific equipment or hostile environment operations, Leaflet B-40 outlines clear exceptions and controls. At Affinity, we turn complexity into confidence, delivering seamless compliance, safe operations, and dependable aircraft performance, every time

Our CAMO capabilities

Our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) plays a critical role in ensuring that every aircraft under our care is safe, compliant, and ensures the Fleets are ready to meet operational demands.

We don’t just tick boxes. We proactively manage risk, streamline certification, and keep your fleet in peak condition. With Affinity, you're backed by a CAMO team with proven experience across civil and military aviation platforms, built around one mission: delivering airworthy aircraft that perform under pressure.

Our Part 145 capabilities

Our Part 145 approved Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation delivers high-quality aircraft maintenance support across a range of fixed-wing aircraft and components.

As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability, our Part 145 approval ensures that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with strict UK CAA regulations.

In addition to our civil aviation maintenance capabilities, our Part-145 is also approved to operate under the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) framework through compliance with MRP Part 145 and Leaflet B40. This dual-approval status enables us to undertake maintenance activities on military-registered aircraft and components, aligning with MOD requirements and supporting the UK’s military flying training programmes. Our adherence to Leaflet B40 ensures that we meet the regulatory and quality standards necessary to work across both civil and military domains.

Our operational support capabilities

The operations team at Affinity plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of services that support military and industry flying. Their responsibilities span planning, logistics, compliance, and day-to-day operational execution, all of which are essential to maintaining safety, efficiency, and readiness.

Our Operations Team ensures that every aspect of our service delivery runs smoothly, from aircrew equipment and logistics to transport and business continuity. This means dependable, safe, and efficient support that meets the highest standards, every time.

By combining strategic oversight with hands-on execution, the team helps us stay agile and responsive. Their work directly supports our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for our partners.

Led by experienced professionals, the team also supports strategic planning, risk management, and operational execution. Their work underpins the day-to-day functioning of Affinity’s services, ensuring that personnel and processes are always mission-ready.

Our Aircrew Equipment Assemblies capabilities

Aircrew Equipment Assemblies (AEA) are functional clothing that allow an individual to carry out their normal flying duties unhindered and safely, and provide maximum protection should an emergency occur.

Our AEA team plays a critical role in ensuring safe and seamless flying operations. Guided by our Departmental Exposition, our experienced supervisors meticulously manage the preparation, fitting, and maintenance of all issued AEA and HEA equipment, which includes:

  • Aircrew helmets
  • Parachutes
  • Noise-cancelling headsets
  • Life rafts
  • Life preserver
  • Fire retardant coveralls
  • Locator beacons

        And more...

Our Aircrew Equipment

Every item, from helmets to life preservers, is correctly sized, compliant, and fully serviceable. Whether supporting a new student pilot or Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI), our AEA staff are responsible for issuing and maintaining the correct AEA in a timely and professional manner, so training and operations commence without delay.

Our duties go far beyond initial issuance. The team oversees maintenance and inspection plans, ensuring all AEA and survival equipment (SE) undergoes scheduled servicing and remains fully functional. From managing training equipment for both dry and wet drill scenarios to coordinating Asset management across multiple sites, we ensure everything is ready when it matters most.

Our AEA personnel are custodians of safety, compliance, and quality. Every item issued is carefully logged, signed, and traceable, with all maintenance and documentation records rigorously maintained in line with current procedures. Amendments to publications are promptly updated and reflected in day-to-day operations.

From bay to cockpit, our AEA team delivers confidence through training, experience, and competence, providing the protective foundation to focus on the mission ahead.

Our aircraft modification capabilities

Our relationships with Part 21 Design and Production Organisations enable us to design, produce, embody, and support modifications to our aircraft. Over the last couple of years, we have worked with our Original Equipment Manufacturers and our Part 21 partners to develop and embody numerous modifications to our aircraft fleets.
