Affinity Hosts Key Visit on Workforce Development at RAF Cranwell

Affinity Flying Training Services was proud to welcome representatives from ASI – Newark, Eagle Eye Innovations Ltd, IMA, and the British Council in Morocco to our hangar at RAF Cranwell. The visit formed part of a collaborative project focused on aviation training and workforce development – key areas that are critical to shaping a sustainable future for the industry.

At Affinity, we provide more than just a training ground—we offer a real-world aviation environment where workforce development is embedded into our daily operations. As part of the British Council’s initiative, the visit aimed to explore strategies for enhancing recruitment in aviation, with a particular focus on improving gender balance and assessing training models that create skilled, long-term career pathways.

Our Head of HR, Louise, and Head of Maintenance, Karl, were on hand to share how Affinity is actively addressing current skills gaps while ensuring our teams are equipped for the challenges of tomorrow.

The visit was a valuable opportunity to exchange insights and demonstrate how our people-first approach is contributing to a more inclusive, capable, and future-ready aviation sector.
