Affinity Welcomes National Air & Space Camp Cadets to RAF Cranwell

Affinity recently welcomed a group of cadets attending the National Air & Space Camp to RAF Cranwell for a behind-the-scenes look at Affinity and the role we play in supporting UK military flying training. The visit provided an opportunity for the cadets to learn more about our operations while exploring the wide range of career opportunities available across the aviation industry.

Throughout the morning, the cadets toured our hangars and operational areas, where they were able to see the aircraft up close and gain an insight into the work carried out by our engineering, operations and support teams.

They also had the chance to speak directly with colleagues from across the business and learn more about their career journeys and day-to-day roles.

As part of the visit, the cadets took part in a command task designed to test their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. Working together to complete the challenge, they demonstrated creativity, leadership and collaboration while gaining an appreciation of the importance of these skills within the aviation industry.
The visit concluded with a careers discussion and Q&A session, giving the cadets the opportunity to ask questions and hear first-hand experiences from those working in aviation. From engineering, maintenance, AEA to operations and business support, the session highlighted the variety of pathways available within the industry.
Supporting the next generation of aviation professionals is an important part of what we do. We are proud to work with organisations and initiatives that inspire young people to explore careers in aviation and aerospace, helping them gain a better understanding of the opportunities available within the sector.
