Affinity Flying Training Services is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented CAMO AR Surveyor to join our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) team based at RAF Cranwell/RAF Barkston Heath.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced continuing airworthiness professional to play a key role in supporting independent Airworthiness Reviews, CAME compliance and continuing airworthiness. The successful candidate will conduct independent Airworthiness Reviews in accordance with UK Part-CAMO, Part-M M.A.901 and Part-ML ML.A.901 / ML.A.903 requirements, as applicable, while supporting wider CAMO engineering, reliability, SMS and compliance activities as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Airworthiness Reviews for ARC issue and support ARC extension decisions where the aircraft meets the applicable controlled-environment criteria, in accordance with UK Part-CAMO, Part-M M.A.901 and Part-ML ML.A.901 / ML.A.903 requirements, as applicable.
• Plan, execute and document Airworthiness Reviews, including the documented records review and physical aircraft survey required by M.A.901 / ML.A.903, ensuring evidence is complete, traceable and audit-ready.
• Ensure compliance with approved Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) procedures.
• Verify aircraft utilisation, maintenance status, deferred defects, AD compliance, ALS/CMR and life-limited requirements, SB analysis / embodiment decisions, modifications, repairs, STCs, mass and balance, flight manual applicability, configuration status and compliance with approved data.
• Maintain the required independence for each Airworthiness Review, including declaration and management of any potential conflict of interest before commencing the review.
• Support the management of Airworthiness Review findings to closure through Centrik, ensuring closure evidence is traceable, appropriate and audit-ready.
• Support CAA ACAMS activities, audits and regulatory oversight requirements.
• Maintain, update and report on the Airworthiness Review Plan on behalf of the CAM, ensuring key regulatory and contractual deadlines are achieved.
• Support wider CAMO engineering, reliability, SMS and compliance activities as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Experience

• Experience conducting or supporting Airworthiness Reviews within a Part-CAMO, Part-M and/or Part-ML environment.
• Strong understanding of ARC issue, recommendation and extension processes, including controlled-environment criteria.
• Experience reviewing technical records, aircraft configuration, AD / ALS / life-limited status, deferred defects, maintenance programme compliance and approved data.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and apply UK CAA regulations, AMC/GM guidance and organisational procedures.

Essential Requirements

In line with UK Regulation CAMO.A.310(a), applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in continuing airworthiness.
• An appropriate Part-66 licence, aeronautical degree or national equivalent qualification.
• Formal aeronautical maintenance training.
• Experience holding a position of appropriate responsibility within an approved organisation.
• Where applicable, consideration may be given to the CAMO.A.310(b) additional experience route, subject to UK CAA agreement and acceptance.
• Ability to demonstrate appropriate and recent continuing airworthiness management experience relevant to the aircraft and approval scope.
• Appointment to Airworthiness Review Staff / ARC Signatory status will be subject to formal UK CAA acceptance in accordance with CAMO.A.310(c), following satisfactory completion of a supervised Airworthiness Review under the approved CAME procedure.
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
• Full UK Driving Licence, as travel to other Affinity-managed sites is required.

Desirable

• Previous authorisation as Airworthiness Review Staff (ARS) or ARC Signatory.
• Experience supporting CAA audits, ACAMS activities or regulatory oversight engagements.
• Part-CAMO, Part-M or Part-ML training.
• SMS, Human Factors and EWIS training.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience.

• Must hold the legal right to work in the UK
