Jon Egging Trust Inspirational Outreach Programme
We were thrilled to support this empowering educational scheme once again in 2023 and are now looking forward to making plans for 2024.
The Jon Egging Trust have created a variety of programmes to support young people. They believe that every young person, no matter their starting point, should leave school armed with the confidence, resilience, and self-belief to succeed. Many of their students face significant life challenges or lack positive role models, and with the support of JET, local businesses, and partners, they can get the right support, by building their teamwork, leadership and communication skills.
We offered a short series of workshops which allowed the students a opportunity to see what an aviation organisation does day to day.
A group of colleagues volunteered their time to support the project and gave advice on to write a CV and cover letters and gave an insight into the world of work. These sessions included presentations, talks, activities, and tours.
It was great to see the students engage and thrive in a new environment. We hope they took away some useful information and use it in a positive way for the next step in their education or career journey.
